The catalog records the city for this program as Hull / York rather than a single place, because the school operates across both. That is a structural fact worth resolving early with the school: where you are based, when you move between sites, and how clinical placements are distributed all follow from it, and none of them is visible in a fee table.

This is a different kind of location question from the campus-versus-name cases elsewhere in this profile set — Padua teaching at Venice, Milano-Bicocca at Bergamo, Parma at Piacenza, Turin at Orbassano. Those are one program in one unexpected place. This is one program in two places at once.

Where the city beats the fee

£49,750 per academic year for international students, confirmed for 2026/27, which is about €57,526 at the ECB planning rate this site uses. Across five years that is roughly €287,630 in tuition, ranking twenty-third of the 35 UK medicine records with a published fee — on both annual rate and total, since the fee is flat.

The interesting comparison is with City St George's in London, which charges about €4,336 a year less. Add five years of living costs — €52,500 here against €78,500 in London — and Hull York finishes roughly €4,300 cheaper all-in, at about €340,100 against €344,400.

That is the second way a UK annual fee misleads. Southampton's headline understates because its clinical years cost nearly double; here the headline overstates, because the city is cheap. Neither can be seen without doing the multi-year arithmetic.

GCSEs count, not just A levels

The published requirement is AAA including biology and chemistry, plus six GCSEs at grade 6 or B or above including English and mathematics. UCAT including the situational judgement test is used in selection, followed by an interview or multiple mini interview, with English, health, DBS and fitness-to-practise requirements.

The explicit GCSE floor is worth noting because it is a second academic gate, applied to qualifications taken years before the application. An applicant whose A levels are strong but whose earlier results are patchy can be screened out here on the earlier record, and it is not something that can be improved late.

The degree runs five years to an MBBS. English is the clinical language, so there is no local-language requirement of the kind that applies across the non-English-speaking countries in this catalog.

The UCAS calendar applies: the 2026-entry deadline of 15 October 2025 has passed, and for 2027 entry the medicine deadline is 15 October 2026 at 18:00 UK time, with UCAT testing between 13 July and 24 September 2026.
