An offer condition nobody else states

Selection is a UCAS application, then shortlisting and an online interview, with offers conditional on the required qualifications and a work-based risk assessment.

That last condition is unique in this catalog. Every UK pharmacy school here requires occupational-health clearance, DBS or its regional equivalent, and a fitness-to-practise check. Teesside additionally names a work-based risk assessment as a condition of the offer itself, which suggests an assessment tied to placement suitability rather than a general health screen.

It is worth asking what it involves and when it happens, particularly for an applicant with a health condition or disability. A condition attached to the offer is a different thing from a check performed after enrolment: it sits between you and a confirmed place, and its timing can affect visa planning.

The interview being online is the other practical point. Along with Huddersfield, which offers a choice of format, Teesside is one of the few schools in this block where an overseas applicant does not have to travel for a stage they might not pass.

The middle of the identical-city four

Middlesbrough's living costs run about €10,400 a year on this site's presets — identical to Lincoln, Wolverhampton and Sunderland — so four years adds €41,600 and the all-in figure is about €129,480.

Those four schools are the cleanest fee comparison in the whole UK pharmacy block precisely because the city variable is held constant: Lincoln €126,240, Wolverhampton €128,092, Teesside €129,480, Sunderland €134,104. A €7,864 spread across four years, entirely attributable to tuition.

Teesside sits third of the four. Against Portsmouth, also profiled today, it is about €9,200 cheaper all in despite charging €1,098 a year less — Portsmouth's city costs €1,200 a year more.

Four years, in English

The award is a four-year MPharm (Hons) from the School of Health and Life Sciences. English is the teaching and placement language.

The published requirement is A level BBB with chemistry plus one science subject, GCSE English and mathematics at grade 4/C, and IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each component. Alongside the online interview there is a pharmaceutical-calculations numeracy assessment.
