The most recent official non-EU call we could locate is for 2025/26. The current page does not publish a 2026/27 opening date, closing date, or examination date, and our record's instruction is to replace the details here with the 2026/27 call once it appears.

That is a different problem from a late deadline or a rolling intake. Sarajevo publishes its calendar to the hour; Banja Luka publishes two rounds; SSST runs an open season. Here there is simply nothing published to work backwards from, and the only reliable action is to contact the university and ask when the foreign-student call opens.

Selection, when the call does run, is described as an annual call with academic documentation and a university selection procedure — a file-based route rather than an entrance examination. The application asks for a secondary-school diploma with the required legalized and translated academic documents.

Albanian and/or Italian in the clinic

The catalog records the clinical-language expectation as Albanian and/or Italian for communication and placements. Every other English-taught program on this site names one local language; this one names two, with the possibility that Italian is the one that matters for particular placements.

That is not a footnote for anyone planning six years here. Learning a language for clinical years is demanding enough when you know which language it is, and 'and/or' is precisely the ambiguity worth resolving with the faculty before you enrol rather than in your third year.

The degree is a six-year, 360-ECTS integrated medical qualification taught entirely in English, in Tirana.

The cheap figure is not the international one

This site previously carried €5,360 a year as this program's fee. An official-source audit on 2026-08-12 found that figure applies to a narrower category. The latest official 2025-2026 fee text distinguishes €9,650 per year for foreign citizens generally from €5,360 for a listed regional-nationality and exemption category. For a typical international applicant, €9,650 is the correct reference and €5,360 is not.

That correction roughly doubles the number and moves Albania out of the bargain tier it appeared to occupy. At €9,650 this program would sit close to Bulgaria's Pleven at €9,000 and Romania's Oradea at €9,000 rather than near the cheapest in Europe. Neither figure is confirmed for 2026-2027 in any case.

Albania remains unusual for a second reason: it is the only one of the 21 countries with programs in this catalog where not a single fee is confirmed for the current cycle. Both Albanian programs — this one and pharmacy at Western Balkans University — carry prior-cycle or undated amounts.

So the instruction is unchanged but the number is not. Get the current call and the current fee in writing, and if you are quoted €5,360, establish which category the university is placing you in before treating it as your fee.
